Excavating Services of Osland

Excavation is more than just making a hole in the ground, excavation is almost always the first step of most building, construction, paving and pipeline projects and it's often the final phase of a demolition project. AS with any excavating business excavations often works in tandem with other services Osland performs. For example, excavation of the site is the first step in building, allowing the foundation to be set properly right from the start. However, many projects start with excavation and soil removal before construction can begin.

Osland Excavation Grading, Seeding, and Site Preparation

Grading in excavation and construction is the process of ensuring a level base, or one with a specified slope, for a construction work such as a foundation, the base course for a road or a railway, or landscape and garden improvements, or surface drainage. The earthworks created for such a purpose are often called the sub-grade or finished contouring. Here at Osland Excavation, we understand that proper preparation for a site will make the entire process easier and therefore less costly to our clients.

Site Preparation

Site preparation often means a significant movement of earth and quartering of the work site for safety. We will ensure that the site itself will be leveled. That all semi-permanent fixtures will be properly secured and that all products and equipment placed in such a way as to minimize the size and obtrusiveness of our work area.

Osland Excavation Building Demolition and Removal

Demolition and Hauling

Osland can survey any project prior to demolition to know approximately how long the demolition will take and what equipment will be required for each project depending on the project's size and location. Osland will dispose of the materials removed by recycling, scraping or hauling to an off-site legal and licensed disposal facility. We take care to prep each and every demolition site to minimize any problems or exposure to the nearby residents, businesses, and pedestrians. We have the ability to operate the equipment and have the skilled personnel necessary to ensure that the disruptions to the surrounding area are kept to a minimum.

Directional Boring

Directional boring, also known as horizontal directional drilling, is a steerable trenchless method of installing underground pipes, conduits, and cables in a shallow arc along a prescribed bore path by using a surface-launched drilling rig, with minimal impact on the surrounding area. Osland has years of experience in directional boring and we can provide you with the quality and expertise your job needs. We also have powerful hammer truck equipment able to break through most materials to allow us to access with precision any area that needs quick attention.

Hauling and Trucking

Whether you're preparing a driveway for resurfacing or you're ready to lay out a decorative stone wall around your garden, moving your materials is always a challenge. We can spread surface materials cleanly, efficiently, and effectively to achieve quality results for our customers. We here at Osland can give you the very best in hauling and trucking services at a reasonable rate.

Drainage and Drain Tiles

Drain tiles drainage systems can be a crucial factor in agriculture. Without a means to drain water from a field, soil can become waterlogged and unusable for planting. Too much subsurface water can be counterproductive to agriculture by inhibiting root development, and inhibiting the growth of crops, and limit the access of farm machinery. Most modern agriculture depends on the usage of large machinery—tractors and implements—to prepare the field, plant the crop, carry out any cultivation, and eventually, to harvest the crop. Operating most machinery in extremely wet conditions may result in soil degradation because of excessive soil compaction. We will install subsurface drain tile pipes to allow water to easily flow off-site into nearby surface water sources. Here at Osland, we can offer you a solution to keep your fields from becoming damaged and your planting season ruined.
